Twitter and other associated tools - May New Media Breakfast

Making the most of Twitter and some associated Periscope

Date: Friday 29th May 2015
Venue: 29 Member's Club, Royal Exchange Square, Glasgow
Time: 7:45am for 8:00am

This month's New Media Breakfast will take a look at Twitter and how to get the most you can for your business from this amazing tool.

Now 9 years old, Twitter has around 300 million active users, but how many people are actually putting it to full use for their business?

We will also take a look at some of the associated tools you can utilise with your Twitter account, and we will take a special look at the latest offering from Twitter - Periscope.

As outlined in an earlier blog post, Periscope is set to become one of the very biggest Apps. It provides the opportunity to live stream video and engage with your live audience, something that will be very useful for lots of marketing applications.

Find out more about this brand new offering from Twitter, and find out how it might be useful to your marketing in the future.

This session will look at Twitter, Periscope and other associated tools and what can be done with them. We will look at:
  • How to build a community, locally, nationally, and internationally
  • Using hashtags (#) effectively
  • Twitter Advertising
  • Management tools like TweetDeck and HooteSuite
  • Twitter Analytics
  • Tracking individual Tweets
  • Using video - Vine
  • Live streaming with Periscope
So, if you would like to brush up on Twitter and find out what's happening with the platform and what you can be doing to maximise your Twitter strategy, please come along to the New Media Breakfast this month.

Gordon White, Managing Director, fatBuzz will present this session.
