Social Media Podcast No.22 now available...and a solution for Steve Jobs
The Social Media Podcast team are back to discuss a variety of social media topics including: the iPhone 4 problems and our revolutionary solution - The iGlove. Here we see Shona Lyttel modelling our solution to the current iPhone 4 problems. This is a prototype with full iGlove branding in the fatBuzz pink — a truly wonderful solution for Steve Jobs.
We also discuss the successful launch of Connected FM's new networking site, Connect with FM and Iain Murray brings us his usual offerings from the world of gadgets, Apps and, software including: Poyzo, dlvr.it, the Wired iPad App, and various others.
The Buzz network from fatBuzz also launched last week and we discuss how that network will be used in a slightly different way from the Connect with FM network; a good example of how Niche Networks can be used in a variety of ways.
It's often light hearted and always informative, this episode is well worth a listen.

Lack of Business Podcasts
There's a very interesting article on Neville Hobson's blog today about the lack of good business podcasts in the UK, I've thought the same thing for a long time now, perhaps one of our own clients in the professional sector might consider addressing this issue. Better still, we have a broad range of professional, financial and creative expertise working in B2B among our client base, why not collaborate in a regular business podcast?
Neville is extremely well respected in PR, social media and podcasting and is co-presenter of For Immediate Release, a podcast about the convergence of PR and social media.
If you have any interest in exploring this please drop me an email at gordon@fatbuzz.com or add your comments below.

To win in our Open Championship Sweep each day all you have to do is pick your overnight leader. E.g. Pick who you think will be overnight leader on Thursday from the list below then do one of two things:
1. You can send a Twitter message with the name of your golfer and @fatBuzz
2. Type your golfer's name in the status bar at top of the fatBuzz Facebook Page.
We will enter your name against that golfer (first come first serve) and if he is the Thursday overnight leader you winn the fatBuzz Notebook and Pen. If the name is already taken we will message you for an alternative.
We will then repeat the process for Friday, Saturday and the winner of the Open on Sunday.

Social Media Marketing and the Bottom Line
Guest speaker Gordon MacIntyre-Kemp (@theintelligiser)
30th July 2010 at No.29 Exchange Square Glasgow at 8am
12th August 2010 at The Tower Restaurant, Chamber Street, Edinburgh at 8am
Social media is not a revolution or even a trend or fad it’s a symptom of the wider paradigm shift in how businesses and customers need to communicate. Old style sales and marketing models: cold calling, advertising, direct mail etc are delivering diminishing returns – people don’t want to be sold to any more they want a relationship and they want your company to help them make informed buying decisions.
Gordon will be talking about the key role that social media marketing plays in closing sales, building trust, generating leads and increasing profit. Exclusively at the NMB in Glasgow and Edinburgh Gordon will be sharing the results of the Intelligise social media business attitudes survey and explaining what the results mean to businesses that are not yet engaging clients on a deeper level.
About Gordon
Schooled in Sales and Marketing as a P&G graduate Gordon worked on big brands like Wash & Go, Head and Shoulders and the Launch of Pantene before moving into major account sales for Northern Foods.
As the Managing Director of First Tuesday in Scotland and the Now-Business network Gordon was a pioneer of online business to business networking and discussion group facilitation in the 1990’s.
Having worked as a business development consultant in Europe and the Middle East Gordon has recently launched Intelligise Ltd a full service business development practice to advise medium to large
sized firms, on social media marketing, sales growth, networking and recruitment strategy.
An active hockey player and Thai boxer Gordon is as competitive as he is opinionated.

fatBuzz donates £577 to withKids
The fatBuzz team believes in the Entrepreneurial Exchange's motto "work hard, play hard, give something back."
On the 17th June at our re branding launch night in No29, we had the idea to sell off all of our old business cards for a £1. We decided to donate all the proceeds to the With Kids charity, a charity that is close to our hearts hear at fatBuzz. In doing so we are pleased to announce that together we have raised £577.
"The £577 raised from the raffle will pay for 32 vulnerable children to have a fun day at the seaside. Everyone at the With Kids team would like to thank Marion, Gordon and the fatBuzz team for everything that they have done for us. Their support is invaluable."
A huge thanks to everyone who bought an old business card on the night once again.
Please join the With Kids social network here.
